Daré alla Lucé is an Italian phrase used to describe the moment of birth and the title of this series of altered vintage photographs by Amy Friend. By punching holes and allowing light to travel through them she playfully brings the photographs back to the light from which they worn born (since a photograph is a record of light). The result is a series of hauntingly beautiful photographs, that seem to breathe with new life.
