Orla Kiely Spring 2014 is winning all the awards, or at least all the awards I'm giving out. Between the captured insects, knee high socks, binoculars, and vintage vinyl players you can't look at this collection without seeing Moonrise Kingdom. Suzy Bishop is clearly an inspiration for more than just Internet girls with our love of berets, winged eyeliner, and paperback novels. Perhaps what I love most about the collection is the juxtaposition of sweet, feminine clothes and the camp-inspired setting with its dirt floor and safari-esque wallpaper. A nice reminder that you can enjoy the outdoors and entomology without a uniform of polar fleeces and hiking boots. And the clothes themselves? I really enjoy the addition of animal sweaters to Orla Kiely's usual fare of fit and flare dresses in signature prints.
